Episode 60 - Genevieve Schmitt
Genevieve Schmitt has always blazed her own trail. From reporting atop the seat of a motorcycle on the Speed Channel to founding Women Riders Now in the early 2000s, before many even thought about launching a motorcycle website, she has led the charge in the powersports industry not only for women but for a generation of content creators.
Schmitt wrote and covered stories from the female perspective and, no surprise, a lot of riders, both male and female, appreciated her work, sharing her opinions on industry trends, related legislation, and reviews developed not just from statistics gleaned from a spec sheet but how a motorcycle actually makes you feel when you ride it.
There is a reason Schmitt was named one of the “Top 100 Leaders in Powersports.” She has toured the country giving seminars on introducing women to motorcycling. She has been featured on the History Channel, ABC News, USA Today, The New York Times, and more. She’s even scooped up industry accolades, including the prestigious AMA Bessie Stringfield award.
